What was your first job in the realty industry? My first job in real estate was working in property management with Gables Residential while I was in college.
Where did you grow up? Coral Springs, FL
Growing up, what did you want to be? I wanted to be an event planner and went on to earn a degree in Event Management. I worked in the industry before returning to real estate.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? I take spin classes to destress!
If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? I would have lunch with Barbara Corcoran. She has been very successful and has such a positive and inspiring attitude and approach to business.
Where is your favorite place to hang out? My favorite place to hang out is with my family and friends out on our boat!
What do you love most about the industry? What I love most is meeting new people everyday and establishing relationships with my customers that last beyond the real estate transaction.
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I would say that I distinguish myself by creating long term relationships. I want to be my customers “go-to” girl for all their home needs. Beyond finding their dream home, I love helping them with vendor recommendations, remodeling advice and connecting them with their community. I love visiting with them and seeing how their home evolves as they live in it over the years.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job? The most difficult part of my job is delivering bad news to customers. This can be an emotional event for some people and it never gets easier to relay bad news.
Where do you go to network and meet new clients? I’m networking daily! I’m very active in my community. There’s always something going on to get involved with! I network at my women’s club, community events and through involvement with other local businesses. Networking at conferences is great for building connections outside of our immediate area. I love being able to connect my clients with realtors anywhere they may need!
What has been your greatest accomplishment? My greatest accomplishment by far is my family. Followed by building a career that I love!
What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? I just read Rachel Hollis’ “Girl Wash Your Wash,” it’s a great read to kick off the year!
What is your favorite restaurant? Joe’s Stone Crab.
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Miami? I love the art deco buildings along Miami Beach.
What kind of car do you drive? Nissan Pathfinder – plenty of room for clients, open house signs and kids’ sports equipment!
Smartphone or paper? Both. I’ve got everything I need in my phone, but still can’t let my day planner and written to-do lists go!
What is your favorite city after Miami? New York City.
In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? Network, build relationships, make a routine and work hard!
