Lots of interesting things happened this week in the world of real estate. Notable stories this week include Brickell Flatiron’s strong numbers after six months of sales and a billionaire listing his hundred-plus million dollar mansion.

Brickell Flatiron sales hit $75 million – According to a release: Brickell Flatiron’s sales have remained strong – the project has seen approximately $75 million in sales completed in the first two quarters of 2016, with 55 percent of its 549 units currently under contract. Buyers have primarily hailed from the United States – mostly domestic buyers from Miami and the Northeast – as well as foreign countries such as Venezuela, Mexico, Argentina and Italy.

The Jills close another big sale – According to a release: The Jills, Coldwell Banker’s No. 1 agent team in sales volume worldwide for the fifth consecutive year, recently closed on the 12,600-square-foot waterfront Mediterranean-style estate at 6385 Pine Tree Drive Circle, located in the prestigious La Gorce neighborhood in Miami Beach, for $19 million. The Jills represented the seller.

Historic Miami building bought – At 19 W. Flager St. stands the 14-story Biscayne Building, erected during the city’s 1920’s construction boom. In a deal that closed today, the New York developer Moishe Mana purchased the historic tower for $24.5 million, according to Daily Business Review.

$137-million home hits the market – The Wall Street Journal reported this week that Internet entrepreneur and billionaire Jim Clark has officially listed his Palm Beach estate Il Palmetto…for $137 million. The mansion includes six-bedrooms, two elevators, a living room with 50-foot ceilings, and 60,350 square feet of living space.
