The Miami Association of Realtors and the Realtors Association of the Palm Beaches announced today a joint agreement surrounding MLS access for members.

When MIAMI absorbed the Jupiter-Tequesta-Hobe Sound Association of Realtors (JTHS) into its network in Sept. 2015, the merger was contested by RAPB, which shared an MLS with JTHS. The Palm Beaches association raised concerns over MIAMI members having access to its proprietary listing service without a proper sharing agreement in place.

According to a statement from MIAMI, the new agreement will allow members to view listings from both MIAMI’s and JTHS’ MLS systems without having to pay for two subscriptions.

This is a big step for the associations, considering the heated rhetoric that characterized the dispute early on.

In addition to the MLS agreement, MIAMI and RAPB agreed to continue providing shared electronic keys and lock box services for both “convenience” and to “facilitate access to properties for ease of showings.”

MIAMI said the associations are “looking forward to a long and successful working relationship.”
