What was your first job in the realty industry? I worked as an agent for The Jills, the No. 1 Coldwell Banker team worldwide and the top-producing team in Coldwell Banker history. Prior to that, I was a family law attorney in Philadelphia and Miami.

Where did you grow up? Baltimore.

What is your favorite free-time activity? The Bar Method! I’m hooked and drive from Brickell to South Miami three to four times a week to do it.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? Take my dog for a walk around Brickell Key.

Growing up, what did you want to be? A lawyer – but once I achieved that, I realized I wasn’t as happy as I thought I would be.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Not to sound like “that girl,” but I’d love to have lunch with the Kardashians. I just think they’re hilarious and entertaining, plus they’re big fans of Miami. I think we’d have a lot of fun together.

Where is your favorite place to hang out? I’m a Starbucks junkie. I also love any chance to hang out with my family, just sitting on the couch or around the kitchen table.

What do you love most about the industry? It’s constantly changing, and everyone loves talking about real estate. I also love that it’s a social industry – I love meeting and working with new people, and that’s one of the biggest parts of my job!

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? Honesty, professionalism and respect – those three things go a long way in this industry. I also think my law background helps to set me apart.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? You’re never really “not working” in this line of business. And it can be quite aggravating dealing with unprofessional people.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients? I live in a condo building, and I find that the elevators and lobby are a great place to meet people. I also meet a lot of people walking my dog – you’d be surprised.

What has been your greatest accomplishment? Completely transitioning from a totally different career (law) into real estate and being happy! It’s so rewarding to wake up every day and love what you do.

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? Pain and Gain, because of all the awesome footage on Miami Beach. And also the (true) storyline is so unbelievably “Miami.”

What is your favorite restaurant? Joe’s Stone Crab will always by my No. 1. Close seconds are Il Gabbiano, Nobu and Miyako.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Miami? I am obsessed with MiMo architecture, particularly the MiMo Historic District along Biscayne Blvd.

What kind of car do you drive? A black BMW 328i.

Smartphone or paper? Both! My iPhone is my lifeline, but I am a very visual person and need to write things down and see it on paper.

What is your favorite city after Miami? New Orleans – I spent four years there in college at Tulane University, and the city is magical.

What is your advice for someone new to the industry? “You have as many hours in a day as Beyonce.” I recently heard that quote and I think it’s especially fitting for the real estate industry where you have to be self-motivated and disciplined.

What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Android app? Kurio.

Who are your favorite people to follow on Twitter? My husband, even though he never tweets. And I love hilarious people like Daniel Tosh, as well as people in the fashion industry and, of course, the Miami real estate world.
