International Sales Executive
Botaniko Weston — Terra Realty LLC
For years, Rosa Maria Canao has traveled through Latin America and other parts of the world, opening up international networks while promoting South Florida real estate. “I hope I can continue to enhance these relationships and open markets that today I can only imagine,” says Canao, an international sales executive and top producer for the past two years with Botaniko Weston — Terra Realty, LLC. “The sky is the limit.”
Canao has more than 10 years of international experience, mostly helping real estate professionals, luxury buyers and investors acquire or sell properties in Florida. “Miami is an attractive and dynamic place that offers a range of possibilities: award-winning restaurants, exclusive developments, prime properties, luxury stores, high-standard amenities and good investment options,” she says.
Canao’s experience as an investor and fluency in Portuguese, English and Spanish allow her to easily connect with clients. In addition, her global travels have provided an education that goes beyond the classroom. “Real estate is a social business where agents learn every day about clients’ cultures and needs,” she says. “This knowledge often permits me to decipher the tastes and desires of clients that are not expressed verbally.”
A Certified Luxury Homes Marketing Specialist and Certified International Property Specialist, Canao integrates new technologies, strategies and social media platforms in her marketing campaigns, yet she still finds the most infallible method to be the most traditional one: networking and community engagement.
Canao is president of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals’ Fort Lauderdale Chapter, a role she describes as a challenge, honor and blessing. “I always wanted to be part of something so much greater than myself,” she says. The activity she treasures most is assisting and impacting women’s lives in a positive way through her support of Latina-focused nonprofits and other charitable foundations in Miami.
