Monica S. Betancourt

Vice President, Realtor
EWM Realty International

Monica Betancourt loves every aspect of real estate, from the personal connections to the market analysis and the negotiation process. “Real estate is a second career for me and the one I love,” says Betancourt, vice president and Realtor at EWM Realty International. “Bringing the world to Miami and showing off our one-of-a-kind city is my favorite activity.”

Specializing in the luxury market in Coral Gables, Ponce Davis, South Miami, Pinecrest and Brickell, Betancourt is also a relocation expert. With 12 years of industry experience, she’s well-equipped to deal with all types of personalities and to mediate between conflicting parties. “In dealing with luxury clients, it’s imperative I don’t let ego get in the way of a negotiation,” she says, adding that communication skills have been instrumental to her success. Her multicultural team at The Monica Betancourt Group — which is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian and Russian — assists a diverse clientele.

This year, Betancourt reorganized her business, making financial and personal investments that enabled new strategies to expand the group’s reach and acquire new clients. Ranking among the top half of 1 percent of Realtors nationwide by sales, Betancourt has also received the EWM Chairman’s Club Diamond Level award every year for the past six years. “Clients appreciate my honesty, commitment and work ethic,” she says. “They like that I am knowledgeable about the homes and markets that suit the lifestyle they want.”

Betancourt is a member of the Master Brokers Forum and the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce. She was recently chosen to join the board of the Miami Cancer Institute at Baptist Health Systems. She supports Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami and the Lori Brener Scholarship Fund. Betancourt has been a regular at Miami’s social, charitable and business events — as well as its celebrated hotspots — for over four decades.
