Jill Penman

Principal Estate Agent

Jill Penman Group

ONE Sotheby’s International Realty

It is a rare talent in any real estate market, no matter its strength, to continually improve and impress, but Jill Penman does it with such finesse you can hardly tell she’s trying. But of course, she is. She’s determined and dedicated. From 2004 to 2012, when Penman worked with Coldwell Banker, she was consistently ranked among the top 2 percent of the brokerage’s 40,000 agents nationwide. Her success is what ultimately drew the attention of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty. After being recruited, Penman made an immediate impact. With industry-leading marketing resources and the increased global reach of the Sotheby’s network, Jill logged her most successful years three years straight.

In 2016, Penman sold over $30 million in real estate, earning her a spot in ONE Sotheby’s “Top Producer Circle,” a designation awarded to the firm’s top 2 percent producing agents. But ask her what her biggest accomplishment was and it won’t be a sale price; it’ll be a story about helping empty nesters sell their family estate and downsize. “They’d tried for years to sell using a different brokerage, but they couldn’t find a buyer,” she says. “I connected with them from day one. I was honored to be their agent, honored to earn their complete confidence. We recently sold their land and home for $2 million.”

That’s the kind of agent Penman is — always putting her clients before her bottom line. It’s something you see brought up time and again in her client testimonials. They describe her as “dependable,” “gracious,” dedicated” and “trustworthy.” But they also describe her as “responsive,” “knowledgeable,” and accepting of “nothing short of expeditious results.” All are traits she prides herself on.

In being both a business owner and full-time mother of four, Penman hopes to inspire her children. “I strive to be a good role model for my kids. Life is full of obstacles and I want my kids to know that as painful as challenges may be, there’s a lot to be learned in adversity,” she says.

When she’s not raising her children or supporting her clients, Penman is staying involved in the industry — she’s a member of the Master Brokers Forum, Coconut Grove Chamber of Commerce and Women’s Council of Realtors – and her community, helping to give back through the United Way Women’s Leadership, being a fellow at the Kampong-National Tropical Botanical Garden and supporting The Villagers, which restores and preserves historic sites.
