Nesti Mendoza

Realtor
EWM Realty International/Nancy Batchelor Team

The old adage goes that a picture is worth a thousand words, but Nesti Mendoza knows that it may very well be worth several million dollars. This is because his talent for showcasing Miami’s most luxurious homes through images that communicate more than one could possibly say make him the agent of choice for the most discriminating clients. Having married his passions for photography, architecture and real estate, this former international fashion photog derives his greatest pleasure from helping clients buy and sell the city’s most stunning properties. His uncompromising commitment to honesty and integrity earns their unwavering confidence.

Having studied architecture at Georgia Institute of Technology and Carnegie Mellon University before deciding to major in photography, Mendoza’s understanding of the visual aesthetic is behind the highly creative marketing campaigns for which EWM Realty International’s Nancy Batchelor Team is renowned. “My pictures capture the unique flavor of South Florida living at its finest,” he says, “and that allows us to make the right impression for the homes we feature.” He had purchased and sold lofts in New York City before moving into a real estate career five years ago, when he moved to Miami and bought an apartment at Aqua on Allison Island. Those experiences sparked Mendoza’s interest in the real estate profession, a natural fit for his unique background. And while he currently handles some of Miami’s most upscale listings, he also sells ranches in Southwest Ranches, FL, largely due to this avid equestrian’s other great love: dressage.

A self-described global citizen who is fluent in Spanish and Italian, Mendoza modestly attributes some of his career achievements to being “pretty lucky,” like selling a $3.9 million home just five days after earning his license thanks to a referral from a friend. “I didn’t even know how to write the deal because they don’t teach you that in real estate school!” he recalled. Fast-forward to 2016 and writing multimillion-dollar deals is second nature. Mendoza has encountered and overcome his fair share of challenges in real estate, however. “The hardest part is managing clients’ expectations, like how quickly we can move a property for sale,” he says. “Sometimes that kind of waiting is tough, but there’s always a solution for even the most difficult of circumstances.”

Mendoza points out that a career in real estate requires an ability to both easily adapt to the unexpected and skillfully multitask. “You change hats several times in any given day, so you’ve got to stay on your toes!” he says. Still, this Realtor knows that the end justifies the sometimes complicated means if they result in others’ happiness. “My career isn’t just about making money; it’s about helping people move on to the next step in life with satisfaction and peace of mind about their real estate decision.”
