Top producer Mitzi Mitchell Burns loves that there is never a dull day in the life of a real estate agent. “It’s always an adventure!” she laughs when describing what inspires her most in her career. Her passion for the industry is centered in her desire to help people, which she never tires of, no matter how busy she gets. Clients’ happiness, she says, is her greatest professional achievement. “When I can help my clients buy or sell a home, then I feel triumphant knowing they’re satisfied with the outcome,” says the Cervera Real Estate sales director who has been with the brokerage for 20 years.

An accounting major at Florida International University, Burns’ acumen for facts and figures complements her love of beautiful homes. Her childhood dream to live in a mansion in the sky was a major factor in her decision to specialize in pre-construction luxury condominiums. She also masterfully navigates the single-family home and commercial property markets, making her adept at meeting the specific needs of her diverse roster of clients. Burns serves buyers, sellers, renters and investors and her reputation for excellence places her in high demand. She remains as focused as possible during each transaction because, as she puts it, “There’s no need to panic. Even complex deals get resolved if we just keep calm!”

Her collected disposition earns sellers’ confidence. “Real estate is all about customer service,” Burns explains, “so I always aim for a quick turnaround to clients’ questions and concerns. I’m highly responsive.” She also encourages new Realtors to do the same when she mentors them. “I’ve had a mentor myself for almost 10 years and that relationship has helped me be accountable to myself and my clients to yield a win-win.”

Burns is an active volunteer with her church, including leading a weekly women’s Bible study. In addition, she thanks her husband for being her “biggest cheerleader,” and she also appreciates other agents who never fail to inspire her. “My success isn’t solely due to my own strength; I thank God and my strong network for the support they always offer because I couldn’t do it without them.”
