You could say that Mauricio J. Barba was destined for real estate from childhood. “I put a ‘For Sale’ sign in front of my parents’ house when I was about 10 or 11 years old,” he recalls. “I didn’t like the home and I remember telling my parents, ‘Let’s move.’ An agent called them after a few days and convinced them to sell, so I felt that I was a Realtor from that day!”
Barba describes Miami as a “great international city with a cosmopolitan vibe” and appreciates its lush landscapes and waterfront settings that his listings showcase. With more than two decades of experience, he executes transactions ranging from $700,000 to $12+ million for luxury homes in communities like Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, Key Biscayne and Pinecrest. Barba credits his ability to generally sell a listing within 60 days to his honesty and integrity as well as to his ability to build relationships. “I educate my clients on all aspects of home-buying and home-selling so that they’re prepared for any potential pitfalls,” he says.
Although consistently ranked as a top real estate broker associate with membership in both the Luxury Marketing Council and Master Brokers Forum, Barba continues to set great expectations for himself as evidenced by his registered motto, “Delivering a Higher Level of Service.” After all, he says that the majority of his business is attributable to client referrals. “My clients refer other people to me because they quickly realize that I’m not in this solely to make a commission; they know that I have their back.”
