When Mitzi Mitchell Burns first entered the real estate industry 21 years ago, she was drawn to the unlimited potential and opportunity that the field offered. Today, she continues to the follow the motto “the sky’s the limit.” She applies this view to all aspects of her work in real estate — everything from customer service to marketing. Mitchell, sales director at Cervera Real Estate in Coconut Grove, has been a member of the Top Producer Circle every year since its inception. In 2016, she earned recognition for the President’s Circle level.  And in 2014, she represented Cervera’s highest priced listing with another Cervera teammate – a $21 million residence at Palazzo Del Mare on Fisher Island.

Mitchell has a degree in accounting from Florida International University, and has brought her passion for business, detail and management to real estate. When clients describe her, they note her insight into the field and her practice of really listening to their concerns. She works with buyers and sellers in Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Brickell, Downtown Miami, East Edgewater, South Beach, Surfside, Bal Harbour and Sunny Isles. She has many happy client testimonials.

Mitchell has also served as a mentor for other Realtors in the South Florida marketplace.  She says her biggest accomplishment this year so far has been “getting out of my comfort zone and trying new strategies to grow my business. I’m always looking for opportunities to meet new people.”

In her free time, Mitchell loves to travel. This year, she traveled to Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing with her husband to learn more about Chinese culture and business. She is also part of Master Brokers Forum, a top South Florida residential real estate organization, and Condo Experts, a Miami condominium mastermind group where each member specializes in condo sales over $2 million in specific areas of the Miami marketplace. Mitchell has also been a participant and coaching client of the Mike Ferry organization for more than 10 years.  She works on her skills daily.  Mitchell’s greatest passion is her family and her involvement in Christ Journey Church in Coral Gables, where she is part of the Baptism Committee and leads a women’s Bible study group.  She is also an active supporter of World Vision, a Christian humanitarian organization.
