Charles Sutton III
Exit RSVP Homes Realty
It’s a rare real estate agent who can say they both tend bar and have leased more than $500,000 in properties in the past year, but Charles Sutton III can say just that. A Realtor for Exit RSVP Homes Realty and a member of the Broward Real Estate Investment Association, Sutton attributes his success to his enthusiasm and charisma, two traits that helped him transition from hospitality to real estate with ease. “I always had a passion for real estate,” says Sutton. “Being in the service industry allowed me to understand people. And they loved my energetic personality.”
For two years, Sutton has specialized in the South Broward and Miami-Dade markets, first working with buyers before shifting to focus on sellers and property investors. “They like that I'm very responsive and fun to work with,” says Sutton about his clientele. “They say they like the way ‘I keep it straightforward’ and educate them along the way.”
In 2016, Sutton was profiled in the “My Style” feature in Miami Agent and earned a spot among the list of “The Top 10 Miami Agent My Styles” of the year. “[It] gave me another sense of credibility,” says Sutton. As for his greatest personal accomplishment of the year, Sutton says it was participating for the first time in the Dolphins Cancer Challenge hosted by the Miami Dolphins Foundation. “To hear the stories and to help raise awareness made it a proud moment,” he says.
When not working at Exit RSVP Homes Realty, Sutton volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and Race for the Cure, and enjoys playing flag football and basketball. And of course, he also bartends. “I started a little after college. I started small, as an independent contractor with the hottest bartending company in Miami [called] ‘Borrow a Bartender,’” he explains. “Soon after, I continued my career at the biggest franchise internationally, Seminole Hard Rock Casino and Hotel,” where he’s one of the veteran bartenders.
