Making Moves: New hires for Berger, ONE Sotheby’s International Realty

by Juliet Jacques

Northern executives join Berger Fort Lauderdale and Miramar

Berger Commercial Realty/CORFAC International announced two new executives, both hailing from northern commercial real estate markets.

New York City property accountant Adam Markoff has joined the company’s Fort Lauderdale office as senior property accountant. A former associate with Price Waterhouse Coopers, Markoff planned and executed financial statement audits of real estate fund and asset management clients valued at over $15 billion.

Cesar Mendez joins the Miramar office as property manager after serving in a similar role at a property consulting firm in Tallahassee, where he maintained near-100% occupancy levels for property portfolios valued at over $10 million.

“Increased migration from north to south is real,” said Berger Realty President and Founder Lloyd Berger in a press release. “The strength of South Florida’s commercial real estate market coupled with Berger’s consistent performance is attracting top talent like Adam Markoff and Cesar Mendez to relocate and join our team.”

ONE Sotheby’s expands leadership team

ONE Sotheby’s International Realty has expanded its leadership team with three new appointments.

Vanessa Stabile was named chief administrative officer in May to strengthen agents’ services and sales operations.

Seth Kaufman, who started at ONE in 2017, was appointed chief sales officer. He will oversee all sales operations from his base in Adventura, with a primary focus on agent growth and success. He will also continue to support the Fort Lauderdale office as their Managing Broker.

Steve Snider joins as new co-brokerage manager for Aventura and Sunny Isles and will work with Kaufman to support agents in these markets. Snider brings over 10 years of real estate experience in New York City, one of the world’s most competitive real estate markets, where he most recently served as leader of the Steve Snider Group and ranked among the top 200 agents by Real Trends.

“I am thrilled with the approach Vanessa has brought to our agent services program, and we are now ready to go full speed ahead with a stronger focus on sales, with these two exciting new appointments to our team,” said ONE Sotheby’s President Daniel de la Vega in a press release. “This new step is an innovative approach created to expand the world-class services we provide.”
