What was your most interesting job before going into real estate? I owned a marketing company that did social events and private parties. I learned the power of branding and marketing.

Where did you grow up? Lima, Peru, New York City, Miami, Coral Springs and Fort Lauderdale.

Growing up, what did you want to be? An entrepreneur and business owner

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? Go to the ocean or green areas for outdoor activities or to read a book

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Jay Z – I love success stories of people who came from small means. Also, I grew up listening to hip hop music.

Where is Miami’s best-kept secret? Seeing Miami from its intracoastal waterways and cruising the channels.

What do you love most about the industry? It’s not a job, it’s a career I’m highly passionate about. When you love what you do, it never feels like work.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?

What’s your best advice for generating new leads? Relationships! Creating successful relationships with customers will always bring new leads.

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately? I’m reading The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie.

What’s your favorite meal in Miami? Any Peruvian restaurant

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Miami? Glass Miami Beach

 What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job? The owner’s dog snuck in from the terrace and bit my leg during a showing.

What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you? I broke the record for the highest sale price of a residential condominium in the history of Fort Lauderdale and Broward County.

What’s your favorite vacation spot and why? Any island with white sand and transparent blue ocean water.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? Education in your market is the most powerful tool.
