Florida 15th best state for driving

A new study by personal finance website Wallethub ranked the best and worst states for driving in the U.S., looking at factors like the cost of car ownership and maintenance, traffic and infrastructure, safety and access to vehicles.

Florida was ranked 15th for driving and was the third best state in terms of access to vehicles and maintenance. For cost of ownership and maintenance, Florida came in at No. 25.

In a similar 2019 WalletHub study looking at cities, Miami ranked significantly lower than the other Southern cities, 63rd for driving overall. Transit safety in Miami was ranked 95th and the condition of traffic and infrastructure was comparable, ranked 74th in the nation.
