Agent Snapshot: Alexis D. Aleman, Real Estate Agent, Ancona Real Estate

What was your first job in the real estate industry? I started as a foreclosure specialist. Along with my team, we would aid those who could otherwise not uphold their house mortgage payments. We would stop the foreclosure process, buy them out of debt, and relocate our clients to a new location with a better living situation.

Where did you grow up? I was born in Barquisimeto, a metropolitan city in Venezuela, and raised in Coral Springs, Florida.

Growing up, what did you want to be? I enjoyed making those around me laugh and smile. This, and having the ability to properly deliver a joke, led me to want to become a professional comedian. This is still a passion of mine, but I now know the entertainment field is not for me.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? When I am stressed or overwhelmed, I tend to go to the gym or fitness center, crank my music up, and get to work on the weights. The euphoric sensation of having finished a rigorous workout reminds me that no obstacle is too big that can’t be defeated with hard work and determination.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? I would have lunch with Will Smith. He is a prime example of how perseverance and the right mindset can lead you to a life of success. What I admire most about him is his ability to remain kind throughout his journey, changing and impacting millions of lives.

Where is your favorite place to hang out? As a South Florida local, I love to hang out at the beach. My personal favorite is Deerfield Beach due to its location and simplistic environment.

What do you love most about the industry? What I love most about the real estate industry is the drive and excitement that comes with meeting and helping others. Learning about my clients and using that knowledge to assist them is a passion of mine.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? Besides my “client first” mentality, I utilize a unique and extensive database. I pride myself with a network of more than 16,000 local clients and have access to a national and international database of about 100,000 people all over the globe.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? There is not particular aspect in real estate that I consider more difficult than others. All problems have solutions, even though some require more work and dedication to solve.

What has been your greatest accomplishment? Among my greatest accomplishments so far are obtaining my diploma from the University of Florida, obtaining my real estate license within my first attempt, and joining Ancona Real Estate. I envision far greater accomplishments as I develop my career.

What was the last good movie you saw? “Avengers: Endgame.”I am a huge fan of superhero movies. I believe that they portray a message of hope and heroism, along with great action.

What is your favorite restaurant? My favorite restaurant is a local Colombian restaurant called Pa’l Rancho. Besides delicious authentic Colombian food, the service is great.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Miami? My favorite building is the newly formed guitar-shaped Hard Rock Hotel. It is simply an architectural masterpiece.

What kind of car do you drive? I drive Mazda make vehicle. It is highly efficient in gas and great for showings.

What is your favorite city after Miami? I am still very passionate about Gainesville, Florida. This was my home away from home when I was a student.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? Consistency is key.

What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Android app? Zillow never fails to facilitate any real estate transaction. It is easy to use and available to the public.

Who are your favorite people to follow on Twitter? @elonmusk, @davidgoggins, @joerogan
