Agent Snapshot: Caleb Seraphin, Realtor Associate, Ancona Real Estate

Name: Caleb Seraphin

Job title: Realtor Associate

Company: Ancona Real Estate

What was your first job in the realty industry? Real estate agent

Where did you grow up? Born and raised in Haiti, I spent my formative years in Port-au-Prince. I later relocated to Caracas, Venezuela in my early twenties.

Growing up, what did you want to be? I wanted to be the example for a life of transformation.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? I like to go walking at night in my lovely neighborhood and I like dancing: Kompa, Salsa, Bachata, Merengue etc. I also like to watch movies, read and play with my daughters.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Arnold Schwarzenegger, because he is a tangible reference to a life of transformation.

Where is your favorite place to hang out? My favorite place is usually an open-concept rooftop restaurant or lounge. I love seafood restaurants, beaches, and parks.

What do you love most about the industry? Real estate gives the opportunity to be valuable by helping others realize their dream: buying or selling their home.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I have a background in hospitality and I love being of service to my clients. Growing up in Haiti, moving to Caracas, and later on moving to Miami, I speak four languages: Spanish, French, Creole, English. I have the ability to relate and connect to multicultural groups of people and provide them better service in their own language. I am able to create a relationship based on trust and communication to ensure the client’s goals are reached to their satisfaction. I don’t just see the real estate transaction, it is a life-long relationship.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? It is difficult when some agents are unresponsive to inquiries. This causes a lack of connection and loss of precious time.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients? I network at restaurants, international malls, and all kinds of festivals.

What has been your greatest accomplishment? I closed four real estate deals during my first year in the industry.

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read?
Movie: What Men Want
Book: Everyday Millionaires

What is your favorite restaurant? Juvia

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Miami? Privé Island

What kind of car do you drive? Chevrolet Cruze 2017

Smartphone or paper? Smartphone

What is your favorite city after Miami? North Bay Village.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? Spend more in networking to meet real people, rather than other types of marketing.

What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Android app? RPR mobile

Who are your favorite people to follow on Twitter? I enjoy following public figures, investors, and politics.
