Beverly Hills brokerage The Agency opens South Florida outpost

by Morgan Mereday

Luxury real estate brokerage The Agency announced the opening of its South Florida office along with the addition of its two branches, The Agency Development Group and The Agency Creates, in Boca Raton. The Florida office will be managed by Chris Franciosa and Jared Ringel. Howard Elfman was appointed managing broker for The Agency’s South Florida location.

With Franciosa’s and Ringel’s previous experience in South Florida’s real estate sales and development industry, the pair will continue to work with consumers, dealers and new clientele in the Boca Raton office.

“We are proud to represent some of the most prestigious projects around the world, South Florida and The Caribbean and we look forward to adding many more to our fast-growing new development portfolio as we continue our expansion,” Mauricio Umansky, CEO and founder of The Agency, said in a press release. “Billy and I have always wanted to bring The Agency to South Florida, and we have found the right partners with Chris Franciosa and Jared Ringel to enter this market.”

The Agency was founded in 2011 in Beverly Hills, and now comprises 25 offices and around 500 agents nationwide. Umansky has also previously ranked as the No. 3 broker in the U.S. according to The Wall Street Journal’s Real Trends guide.

“The Agency is the most exciting real estate brokerage firm in the country and we are looking forward to applying this exciting approach to the industry in South Florida,” Franciosa said. “Jared and I have long admired Mauricio, Billy and The Agency and we are honored to be further growing the brand on the East Coast.”
