Pulte Homes is making the leap into smart homes. In a Business Insider press release, PulteGroup announced all newly-built Pulte, Centex, Del Webb, DiVosta and John Wieland Homes will be equipped for smart technology to fit a homeowner’s lifestyle.

A recent PulteGroup survey on smart home technology found that over 70 percent of respondents ranked security in the top three for features they valued the most. PulteGroup plans to accommodate owners by offering various technology-based safety features.

The smart homes are being built with features that let homeowners control their thermostat, lights, locks and TVs from a smartphone.

“We’re offering homebuyers the flexibility to choose the features and technology they value and that truly enhances their lifestyle without interfering in it,” said PulteGroup President and CEO Ryan Marshall. “Whether it’s the base home that’s pre-wired and ready for anything, a home outfitted with selected options from a full suite of smart technologies, or going with full automation to bring the home to life—the choice is theirs.”

The technology-enabled homes will offer services from:

  • Honeywell and NEST – smart thermostats
  • LiftMaster – remote garage door openers
  • Whirlpool – voice-enabled appliances
  • Schlage – smart door locks
  • Leviton – smart switches, outlets and entryway lighting
  • Ring Wired Elite – doorbell audio cameras
  • Amazon Echo and Sonos – smart speakers

This is another smart home collaboration for Amazon, which partnered with Lennar in May. Similar to the PulteGroup homes, the Lennar homes will feature Amazon Alexa.

If Amazon is not a homebuyer’s choice of technology, PulteGroup also offers Google and Samsung compatibility.
