This Week in Miami Real Estate: Compass tasked to lead sales for OPUS Bay Harbor residential development

Compass Florida Development Division has been designated as the leading brokerage for the new OPUS Bay Harbor residential development situated in Bay Harbor, according to a recent press release. Designed by award-winning and internationally-recognized architect Bermello Ajamil, Opus Bay Harbor will house seven full-floor residences with interior square footage ranging from 4,225 to 5,000, with luxury amenities including a private gym, rooftop kitchen, outdoor pool and private boat docks. The project is expected to be complete in early 2020.

In other Miami real estate news:

  • A bayfront Miami Beach home originally owned by Eurinvest Group founder Philippe Ginestet is now on the market for $12.6 million. Built in 2018, the two-story luxury residence has luxury amenities including an outdoor infinity pool, bay dock and pool cabana with outdoor kitchen.
  • Florida Realtors and the Canadian Real Estate Association signed a Memorandum of Understanding for 2018, which establishes the cooperation of the two Realtor organizations in developing a mutually-beneficial relationship for their respective association members, according to Business Insider.
  • Miami has fallen into Forbes’ list of the worst cities for renters in 2018. With an estimated $1,564 for monthly rent and 5.7% rent growth, Miami is tied for fifth place with Riverside-San Bernardino, California.
  • Miami developer and Royal Palms Companies CEO Dan Kodski states that he is currently renovating the rooftop of the Paramount Miami Worldcenter complex with a landing pad and glass observation deck, according to the Miami Herald. The apparent purpose of this construction is due to a near-future with flying personal transports.
