Which Miami neighborhoods have the highest rent? Consult this map

by Joe Ward

Miami’s rental market is accelerating, but prices in some areas are showing sings of correction, according to recent data from Zumper.

The apartment-listing service has released it’s map of neighborhood rental rates throughout Miami for Spring 2017. Miami is the ninth most expensive rental market in May, tied with Honolulu, according to Zumper. But some of Miami’s most wealthy areas have seen rental prices take a tumble.

Rents in downtown Miami, Upper East Side, Edgewater and Miami Beach are down from the same time last year, notes Curbed Miami. Nautilus and Flagami had some of the fastest growing rents this year, as both saw prices climb over 7 percent, according to Zumper.

A one-bedroom apartment in Miami cost $1,800, which is unchanged from last month but actually represents a 4.8 percent decrease year-over-year. That price is only $50 less than eighth place Seattle, but is nearly $2,000 off first-place San Francisco.
