This week in Miami real estate: Lincoln Road confirmed as top retail street and restaurateur lists home

Lots of interesting things happened this week in the world of real estate. Notable stories this week include Lincoln Road maintaining its status as a top retail street, and restaurateur Steven Perricone listing his Balle Maede Island home. And because we missed last week, we’ll also be including those top stories as well.

Lincoln Road remains top retail street – In a report from Cushman & Wakefield, Miami’s Lincoln Road was confirmed as the No. 4 most expensive retail street in the Americas. The World Property Journal confirmed that average rents in the area are $325 per square foot per year.

Brickell restaurateur is selling – Steven Perricone, owner of Perricone’s Marketplace & Café, has listed his Belle Maede Island home, according to The Real Deal. The listing agent, Jeri Jenkins, told the publication that the listing, which includes a wine vault, movie theater and chef’s kitchen, will hit the market at $5 million.

Douglas Elliman names CMO – According to a Nov. 8 release: Douglas Elliman announces today Andrea Greenberg will join Douglas Elliman Development Marketing in Florida as Chief Marketing Officer effective December 1st. Greenberg has been a fundamental contributor to the evolution of the development marketing industry in South Florida most recently as vice president of marketing at Fortune International Group for over 16 years.

The Jills cut condo by $4 million – According to a Nov. 11 release: The ground floor oceanfront condominium at 7413 Fisher Island Drive on Fisher Island, one of the most exclusive residential communities in the world, has been reduced from $21 million to $16.9 million. The Jills, Coldwell Banker’s No. 1 agent team in sales volume worldwide for the fifth consecutive year, are representing the seller.

Miami can now be sued by citizens – During the Nov. 8 election, Miami voters went to the polls and decided overwhelmingly that citizens should have the right to bring lawsuits against the City, the Daily Business Review reported. In an interview with the publication, lawyer Justin Wales said that the vote “shows how badly the people of Miami (want) an accountable government.”
