Lennar Corp. paid $41 million for a 130.3 acre residential development site in Hialeah. The site is located west of interstate 75 on the north side of Northwest 154th Street and stretches all the way to Northwest 97th Avenue.

Currently used for agriculture, the land has two lakes that total about 56 acres. In 2009, Hialeah approved a developer agreement with the land’s previous manager that would allow up to 929 homes on the property, with up to 34 acres of lake to be filled.

Along with Lennar Corp.’s previous acquisitions north and south of the site, this newly acquired land will potentially transform the scenery along Interstate 75 in the next five years.
