Giovanni Caloretti is a sales executive for Cervera Real Estate in the Brickell area.

What was your first job in the realty industry? I started off doing leasing at Cervera Real Estate, and I focused in the Coral Gables area. This was back in 2010.

Where did you grow up? Right here in Miami.

What is your favorite free-time activity? There’s no free-time in real estate! But when there are days available, I play tennis.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? Have a drink.

Growing up, what did you want to be? I went to school to be an attorney. I wanted to do corporate law.

Where is your favorite place to hang out? I like going to Villa Azur to grab a drink.

What do you love most about the industry? It’s a fun business. You move all the time and there’s all of these events where you get to network and meet new people. I have to say that I really like meeting new people; I’m pretty friendly.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I sell very high-end properties. Right now, my partner, Roberto Malco, and I are selling Biscayne Beach, a pre-construction project in the Edgewater area.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? Deadlines.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients? Cervera Real Estate has a lot of events, and we meet a lot of clientele at the events we host.

What has been your greatest accomplishment? Getting into this new Biscayne Beach project.

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? I haven’t been to the movies in ages. The latest book I read was, “Whatever You Think, Think the Opposite,” by Paul Arden.

What is your favorite restaurant? Zuma.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Miami? Even though it hasn’t been built yet, I really like Biscayne Beach!

What kind of car do you drive? I have a Mercedes CL 63.

Smartphone or Paper? Smartphone.

What is your favorite city after Miami? New York City.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? Work really hard and never give up.
