What was your first job in the realty industry?
I started in 1979 working for a company that, at the time, was the premier company in Miami Beach called Fenton and Muskat.

Who inspires you and why?
I inspire myself. I’m very self-motivated.

What is your favorite free-time activity?
Taking my German Shepherd, Nellie, to Lincoln Road

How did you learn the business?
By selling real estate since 1979 and paying my dues

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read?
The last good movie I saw was “Phantom of the Opera,” and the last good book I read was the mystery novel “Trace” by Patricia Cornwell. I read a lot. I actually keep a book in my car, so if clients or other realtors don’t show up for appointments, I read.

What is your favorite restaurant?
Casa Tua on 17th Street and James on Miami Beach.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Miami?
The Intercontinental Hotel and the Miami Center on Biscayne Boulevard

What kind of car do you drive?
I change my cars all the time, but right now I drive a white 525 BMW.

BlackBerry, Palm or paper, and why?
I don’t have a BlackBerry or a Palm. I like paper, because I think when I write. I also like to use my typewriter.

What is your favorite city after Miami?
San Francisco

What is your personal motto?
Always be honest and up-front.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?
Work hard, pay your dues and know your market.
