Moses Bensusan

Moses Bensusan is the developer of the Meliá Costa Hollywood Beach Resort and CEO of Liberty Grande, LLC, working in Miami.

Every week, we ask a real estate professional for their thoughts on some of housing’s most pressing issues. This week, we talked with Moses Bensusan, developer of the Meliá Costa Hollywood Beach Resort and CEO of Liberty Grande, LLC.

Miami Agent (MA): Your new project, Meliá Costa Hollywood Beach Resort, is well on its way to completion. In a recent statement, you described the building as luxury without sacrificing familyfriendly sensibility. What do you mean by that, and why is it so important?

Moses Bensusan (MB): When guests think luxury, they think it is not meant for families with kids, which is not always the case. Due to the fact that we have families who are looking for sophisticated accommodations during their stay in Florida, every detail has a luxury component at Meliá Costa Hollywood.

MA: What are the must have features of new luxury projects in Miami?

MB: Innovation, sophistication, elegance and quality are essential for a luxury project in Miami. At Meliá Costa Hollywood, guests can enjoy the amenities, features and services of a five-star hotel within the comfort of their own home. The condo-resort offers room service, concierge and several restaurants – open during the wee hours of the morning. Basically, residents can take advantage of 24-hour service as well as the benefits of a five-star hotel.

MA: When prospecting for projects in the city, what are some of your top considerations and why?

MB: I want to continue developing in new areas similar to Hollywood. As a developer, my vision is to distinguish myself and develop places with big potential and little – to no – development. I’m not the type of developer who throws himself in the lion’s mouth. To be a visionary developer, the key is to build in an area that isn’t saturated, such as Brickell.
