The Five Most Anticipated Miami Condo Projects of 2016

In Miami, the beginning of the New Year signifies the start of new condo construction projects, many with innovative designs and exclusive appeal.

Here are Miami’s most anticipated condo projects breaking ground this year:

• Brickell Flatiron: A 548-unit condominium project from developer Ugo Colombo CMC Group, Brickell Flatiron is expected to begin construction in early 2016. Residents can expect to have 360 degree panoramic views of Biscayne Bay and downtown Miami. Designed by architect Luis Revuelta, Brickell Flatiron site is located in the center of Miami’s Brickell financial district.

•Eighty Seven Park: The first residential building in the U.S. designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Renzo Piano, Eighty Seven Park is expected to to begin vertical construction in the second quarter of 2016. The site of the 70-unit development is located in Miami Beach’s North Beach neighborhood, and is bordered by two parks as well as the Atlantic Ocean.

• Elysee Miami: This 57 story glass tower with 100 units is scheduled to begin construction in the second quarter of 2016. Each unit in the building features 180 degree views of Biscayne Bay, Miami Beach and downtown Miami. Elysee Miami is located in Miami East’s Edgewater neighborhood, and is designed by Bernardo Fort-Brescia.

• Canvas: This 513-unit condominium project developed by NR Investments is scheduled to begin vertical construction in early 2016. The 37-story building will feature 10,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor and a rooftop restaurant. Canvas will be located in Downtown Miami’s Arts & Entertainment District.

• One River Point: Designed by Uruguayan architect Rafael Viñoly, this 60 story twin-tower condominium project is expected to begin construction in late 2016. One River Point will feature an 85 foot waterfall, as well as two restaurants and a screening room; the condominium is located along the Miami River.
