The Real Deal announced that it will be hosting the first annual South Florida Real Estate Forum and Showcase on Thursday, Oct. 23 from 12:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Moore Building in Miami’s Design District.

The publication is the go-to source for real estate news in New York City and South Florida, with a readership of more than 130,000 real estate professionals in print and more than 1.3 million monthly visitors online. After experiencing success with their New Development Showcase in New York this past May, The Real Deal is now creating an annual forum and showcase in South Florida.

Over 30 developer and brokerage exhibitors, VIP events and three expert panels featuring South Florida’s most influential developers, brokers, architects and designers happening throughout the day. More than 2,500 real estate professionals and consumers are expected to attend the showcase that offers an opportunity for developers to market their projects and for brokerage firms to showcase their featured listings.

“At The Real Deal we value our relationship with the South Florida real estate community,” said Amir Korangy, Publisher of The Real Deal. “With South Florida’s dynamic market, it only seemed logical to bring our forum and showcase to South Florida.”

The biggest issues affecting South Florida’s active real estate market will be addressed during the expert panel discussions. Developers will discuss where they believe the region is at in the current preconstruction cycle as new towers rise throughout the region. Brokers will discuss the growing buyer pool – with domestic purchasers returning to join established foreign investors – and what this means for prices. And some of the most sought out architects and designers will share their views on how condo design can stand out in a crowded and competitive market.

Developer panelists include Don Peebles, CEO of The Peebles Corporation; Stephen Owens, President of Swire Properties; Edgardo Defortuna, President of Fortune International Group; Ron Krongold, CEO of Gold Krown Financial;  and Nitin Motwani, Managing Director at Miami Worldcenter Group.

Broker panelists feature Nelson Gonzalez, Sr. Vice President at EWM Realtors, Inc; Jill Eber, Broker at The Jills, Coldwell Banker; Alicia Cervera, Managing Partner at Cervera Real Estate; Jay Parker, CEO, Douglas Elliman Florida; Craig Studnicky, Principal of ISG World; and Tony Cho, President & CEO of Metro 1.

The architect and design panel include Bernardo Fort-Brescia, Founding Principal of Arquitectonica; John Hitchcox, Co-Founder of Yoo; Steven Gurowitz, CEO of Interiors by Steven G; and Patricia Hanna, Art Director of The Related Group.
