Emmanuel Miot, Realtor, Coldwell Banker, Miami

by James McClister

EmmanuelMiot-FullNumber of years in real estate: Just under two years

Describe your look: I usually go for a business casual, entrepreneurial look. I wouldn’t go for a suit and tie every day. I like to mix it up with laid-back button downs over blue or black jeans or shorts. I usually like to wear something nice enough to do business in while being comfortable enough to swing a golf club.

What do you consider a “fashion don’t”? Gentlemen should always wear a collared shirt…so if it’s without a collar, that’s a no for me.

What is your favorite piece of clothing and why? Socks! Must have nice socks…and I do like a nice button-down shirt. But I need to have nice, colored and comfortable socks.

What do you consider a must-have accessory? A timepiece.

What is a fashion crime you have committed in the past? I used to wear baggy clothes as a youngster…huge no for me now. Call the fashion police!

Where are your favorite places to shop? I like to shop at Banana Republic, Kenneth Cole and wherever else is having a sale!

What, besides your wardrobe, completes your look? My sunglasses, a freshly shaved head and my wedding ring.

What is in your bag/brief case? Business cards, iPhone charger, MacBook, mints, name tag and pen.

My closet is full of…white shirts, and assorted button-downs.

What is your style advice for other people in the industry? Just be yourself, express your individuality with respect to professionalism.

Timpiece is from Buech & Boilat, sunglasses are Illesteva, sport coat and tie are from Perry Ellis, pants from Banana Republic, and socks and shoes are Kenneth Cole.
