The Miami Association of Realtors released its report on international web searchers today, and, as has been the case for 14 of the last 15 months, Brazil ranked as the top foreign nation using Miamire.com.

In Aug. 2015, Miami was ranked third among the top-10 overall most searched U.S. cities by potential foreign buyers, which is rather unsurprising, considering the city’s reputation as an international hub – a reputation that is gaining prominence every year.

In its latest report, MIAMI identified Brazilians as the most active foreign users on Miamire.com, in front of Russia and Colombia, which took the top spot in July 2015.

As we have reported in the past, Brazilians are among the South Florida’s top international buyers, and are No. 1 in terms of spending, shelling out, on average, $495,000 for their properties – compared to only $245,000 among all buyers in Florida.

Looking at the table below, over the last year, the field of the international buyers looking to Miami has largely remained the same, though there has been some jostling of the ranks. Two particular changes of note are the increases in Russian and Israeli visitors, who did not even make the top 10 a year earlier.

Not only is the appeal of the Magic City extending to potential buyers overseas, but U.S. consumers are also showing a taste for the South Florida market, particularly those from California, New York and Texas – the same top 3 as 2014.
