Jeffrey Miller

Jeffrey Miller is a Realtor with Zilbert International Realty working in Miami Beach.

Where did you grow up? I was born and raised in Staten Island, New York

What was your first job in the realty industry? The summer between 5th and 6th grade, I worked for a real estate company in New York as a assistant property manager. The company managed several homes and we did everything from assisting with open houses, minor repairs, landscaping, advertising. My first day on the job when I arrived at the office my boss was driving a new Mercedes and I knew that day that I wanted to work in real estate.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? One of the reasons that I moved to Florida was to have access to the water and warm weather. I love fishing, kayaking, snorkeling, standup paddle boards, swimming and boating.

Growing up, what did you want to be? I fell in love early on with real estate and I wanted to own homes, buildings and buy and sell them.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Living: Donald Trump. Dead: Steve Jobs

Where is your favorite place to hang out? The sunsets and sunrise at Yosemite High Sierra Camp “Sunrise” is a magical place.

What do you love most about the industry? A home is a place that you spend a large portion of your life in and the memories that you create in that home are special. Helping friends, family, clients create those memories is special, and I love getting to meet and work with so many interesting people.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I learned at a young age that if you try to do the right thing, it always will come back.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? I’m a workaholic so I spend a lot of time away from my family.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients? Im out five nights a week.. either at a heat game, restaurant grand opening, art exhibit, fundraiser, charity event. You need to be connected to the community that you live in.

What has been your greatest accomplishment? I’m a husband and a father of two boys.

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? Ernest Hemingway’s “On Fishing”

What is your favorite restaurant? Baja fish tacos from the Road Side Taco stand in Port Nuevo Baja, Mexico.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Miami? Faena House, designed Foster and Partners

What kind of car do you drive? Porsche Panamara

Smartphone or paper? I have to admit, I keep a note pad next to my bed to jot down ideas.

What is your favorite city after Miami? San Sebastian, Spain. If you love food and beautiful coastlines then you will love this city. Can’t wait to go back.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? If you work just for money, you’ll never make it. But if you love what you are doing, and always put the customer first, success will be yours.

What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Android app? There are several.
