Agent Snapshot: Brianna Gallagher, Realtor, Ancona Real Estate, Midtown

Brianna-Gallagher

Brianna Gallagher is a Realtor with Ancona Real Estate working in Midtown.

What was your first job in the realty industry? I worked part-time for a luxury, short-term rental company in L.A. It wasn’t exactly real estate, but it was a good introduction to the type of work I’m doing now and the type of clientele I’d be working with.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? Boxing is my absolute favorite stress reliever! Any type of workout helps me to relax if I’m ever stressed, but there’s no better way than punching a bag for an hour.

Where did you grow up? I grew up in a tiny little town in Maine called Mechanic Falls. It was a wonderful place to grow up but not somewhere I wanted to stay forever. I always knew there was a much bigger world out there for me, and I needed to see it.

Growing up, what did you want to be? I was one of those kids who never really knew what I wanted to be, and still didn’t even after college. It took me a few years of dabbling in different things before I finally realized that real estate would be the perfect career for me.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be? I would love the opportunity to sit down and chat with Barbara Corcoran. I love how she came from very humble beginnings and worked so hard to get where she is today. Every time I hear her speak I feel inspired.

Where is your favorite place to hang out? The Wynwood/Midtown area is a very trendy, up and coming area of Miami. I had a place there a few years ago and it’s amazing to see how much the area has grown and how popular it’s become. I love the vibe and the people that hang out there. It’s definitely my favorite part of Miami right now.

What do you love most about the industry? My favorite part of this industry is that it’s always changing. There’s always exciting new things to learn and experience. Never a dull moment!

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?  I’m a fresh, young face in this industry. Although I don’t have the experience to back me up yet, I know I will build my brand and stand out from the rest because of my positive attitude, high energy, honesty and commitment to providing my clients with the best real estate experience possible.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients? Miami is full of great networking events every day of the week. In my experience, you can even meet clients at the gas station or walking down the street if you’re a friendly, outgoing person. You never know who’s looking to buy or sell, so don’t ever be afraid to start conversations with strangers. You never know, they could be your next huge sale.

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? I LOVE the movie “Chef” I just rented from Redbox. Great cast and great story. I would recommend it to everyone!

What is your favorite restaurant? I’m such a foodie and Miami has so many amazing restaurants it’s hard to choose just one. I tend to like more local, hole in the wall spots that most people don’t even know exist. One of my favorites is a sushi spot off the 79th St. causeway called Katana.

What kind of car do you drive? I currently drive a Mercedes C250.

Smartphone or paper? Ideally, I like to have both at all times. These days, we cannot get by without our smartphones, but the way my mind is constantly racing, I like to have a pen and paper at all times to jot things down so I don”t forget.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? Don’t try to do it alone! Get a mentor!
